Samsung has launched a few new gadgets during their Aug 11 2021 Unpacked event including Smartphones, Smartwatches and TWS headphones. Some of these are already available to pre-order in the US online from Amazon US. Check them out below.
New Launches in Mobiles Samsung has launched two new Android smartphones during the Unpacked Aug 2021 event. These are Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. Both of these models are already available to pre-order. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G has a launch price tag of $1,799.99 and the price of SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G starts at $999.99.
These new Foldable smartphones from Samsung are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and comes with plenty of ram and storage. Samsung has improved the screen on the Galaxy Fold resulting in it supporting the Samsung S Pen stylus for the first time.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is available to pre-order in 3 different color options – Phanton Black, Phantom Green and Phantom Silver. Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is available in 4 different colors – Cream, Green, Lavender and Phantom Black.
New Launches in Smartwatches Samsung has launches Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic models during the Unpacked event. These models are available in Bluetooth only model or with LTE built-in. SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch 4 44mm has a launch price tag of $279.99 and the 40mm will cost you $249.99. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic model has a starting price tag of $349.99 for the 42mm model and $379.99 for the 46mm model. You can pre-order these from Amazon US now and will ship to customers on August 27, 2021.
New Launches in TWS Earbuds SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds 2 True Wireless Earbuds are available to pre-order for a price of $149.99. You can buy these in 4 different color options – Graphite, White, Lavender and Olive colors. It will ship to customers on August 27, 2021.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A42 5G Unlocked Android smartphone in the US. It has a launch price tag of $399.99 ( 4GB / 128GB Model ) and is now available for pre-order from Amazon US ( check here for the availability ).
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G SM-A426UZKBXAA handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 octa-core processor. This is a mid-range, 8nm chipset with 5G support. It uses 2x 2Ghz Kryo 570 cores and 6x 1.8Ghz Kryo 570 cores. For graphics, it has Adreno 619 GPU.
It features a 6.6 inch 720 x 1600 pixels ( HD+ ) with a Super AMOLED panel. It comes with 4GB of ram and has 128GB storage. You can expand the storage using a micro sdcard ( up to 1TB supported ). Samsung has equipped this mobile with a 5000mAh battery.
Important Note: This US model comes with a triple cameras system – 48MP F1.8 wide-angle + 8MP F2.2 ultra-wide-angle and 2MP F2.4 depth sensor. On the front, you get a 13MP sensor. Some other Galaxy A42 models sold elsewhere have 4 cameras at the back and has a 20MP front shooter.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S21 Series of Android Smartphones. There are 3 different variants available – Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G, and Galaxy S21 5G. These new S21 Series of mobiles are available in many different colors. All of these models are now available to pre-order online in the US from Amazon ( check here )
All these models are powered by the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Octa-core processor. The international variants, as well as the ones sold in India, are powered by a 5nm Exynos 2100 chipset instead.

Of these new flagship phones, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is the top-end model. The ultra model features a 6.8 inch Quad HD+ OLED screen with 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution. It has a variable 120Hz refresh rate display. This is the first Samsung S Series Smartphone to support the S Pen stylus ( not included in the box ). It is available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB Storage options with 12GB or 16GB ram options available.
There are four cameras at the back of the S21 Ultra 5G. The main sensor is a 108MP with an F1.8 aperture lens offering a 26mm focal length. It supports Laser AF, PDAF and has Optical Image Stabilization built-in. The ultra-wide camera has a 12MP sensor with an F2.2 aperture lens, offering a 13mm focal length. The regular telephoto camera houses a 10MP sensor with an F2.4 aperture lens, offering a 70mm focal length. Samsung has also equipped this model with a 10MP F4.9 aperture periscope camera with a 240mm focal length. On the front, you get a 40MP F2.2 aperture camera. The rear camera supports 8K @ 24fps while the front camera tops out at 4K @ 60fps.
Samsung has equipped the S21 Ultra with a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support. The latest WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are available as well for a better connectivety experience.
The S21 and S21 Plus models have 6.2 inch and 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED screens ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ). Both these models feature a 12MP F1.8 aperture main camera with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS support. The other two lenses on the back are a 64MP F2.0 telephoto lens and a 12MP F2.2 13mm ultra-wide-angle lens. The regular S21 is powered by a 4000mAh battery while the Plus model has a 4800mAh one on board.
