OnePlus Mobiles have officially announced the OnePlus 9 Series. Like previous years, we can expect two models – The flagship OnePlus 9 Pro and the regular OnePlus 9 Model. We can also expect the OnePlus 9T Pro variant in the future with some improved specs and a new chipset.
OnePlus has been teasing the specs of the OnePlus 9 Series online via their social media channels as well as through Amazon.in, their official online partner in India. The main highlight is the new partnership they have struck up with the Hasselblad. Like Huawei’s partnership with Leica resulted in great cameras, we can expect a similar improvement in image quality on future OnePlus smartphones starting with the OnePlus 9.
What do we know about the Sony IMX789 sensor?
This is a custom image sensor Sony developed exclusively for the OnePlus 9 Series. It can shoot 4K @ 120fps and supports DOL-HDR ( digital overlap HDR ). IMX789 has a denser circuit design, allowing higher data throughput than the previous-gen IMX689.
