Gigabyte has launched G5 GD GD-51US123SH laptop with the latest Nvidia RTX 3050 in the US online. It has a launch price tag of $1,149. This laptop is now available to pre-order online from Amazon US ( check here for the availability ). This item will ship to customers on May 16, 2021.

GIGABYTE G5 GD GD-51US123SH 2021 model is powered by the new Tiger Lake H 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400H hexa-core processor. This is a 10nm chipset, which has a base clock speed of 2.7Ghz and can go up to 4.5Ghz in boost clock mode. For graphics, Gigabyte is using the just announced, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU ( 4GB DDR6 ).

It comes with 16GB of ram and has Gen4 512GB SSD storage. The max ram supported is 64GB. The display on this model is a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS screen with 144hz refresh rate supported. Gigabyte has powered this laptop with a 49Whr battery and comes with a RGB backlit keyboard.

Gigabyte has launched two models in the 2021 G5 (Intel 11th Gen) Series – G5 MD and G5 GD. The more expensive GIGABYTE G5 MD model features a better 72% NTSC color gamut display and is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU ( Boost Clock 1500 MHz ). These are the only 2 differences i could sport between these models. Rest of the specs remain the same.

Gigabyte has also launched AERO 15 OLED YD-73US624SP 4K laptop in the US at a price of $2,999 ( 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H / RTX 3080 GPU / 1TB SSD / 16GB ram ).

Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED RTX 30 Series Models [ US ]

Gigabyte has launched AERO 15 OLED RTX 30 Series Models in the US online. Some of these models are now available to pre-order on Amazon US as well. Primarily there are three models in this series – AERO 15 OLED YC, AERO 15 OLED KC, and AERO 15 OLED XC.

Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED RTX 30 Series Models are powered by 10th Gen Intel processors. The top-end AERO 15 OLED YC laptop has 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK ( 2.4GHz – 5.3GHz ) processor while the AERO 15 OLED XC variant has 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10870H ( 2.2GHz – 5.0GHz ) processor. The Core i9 model comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 while the Core i7 model has RTX 3070.

May 13 update: Gigabyte has now launched AERO 15 OLED (Intel 11th Gen) 2-2021 models powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11980HK and Core i7-11800H processors.

The cheapest laptop in this series – Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED XC model is powered by i7-10870H and has RTX 3060 graphics.

All these models feature a 15.6 inch Samsung OLED screen with 4K UHD resolution. This panel supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 and has 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support. It is X-Rite Pantone Certified and every display is individually factory calibrated.

Important Note: In some listing online, the specs say this has a 144hz refresh rate display which is not true. The 4K model only supports the regular 60hz only. If you are looking for a high refresh rate screen, check out AORUS 17G YC models that feature a 300hz display.
