DJI has launched OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer in the US online. It has a launch price of $159.00 in the US and is now available to pre-order from Amazon US. Older, last-gen DJI OM 4 now sells for $129 ( Sep 2021 Price ). You can buy the new OM 5 in two different colors – Athens Gray and Sunset White.
DJI OM 5 has similar features as its older sibling. It now comes with a Built-in Extension Rod which acts as a small selfie stick. This allows you to be more creative with your smartphone videography using the gimbal. This model is 100g lighter than the previous model.
Like older variants, DJI OM 5 has a 3-Axis Gimbal to let you record, smoother shake-free videos. While the DJI OM 4 and OM 3 supported ActiveTrack 3.0, the newer model has improved ActiveTrack 4.0 onboard. The extension rod, aka selfie extension, is 215mm in length. This new model has a new feature called ShotGuides which automatically recognizes your environment and recommends a corresponding shot sequence along with short video tips for how to get it. You get features like CloneMe Pano, Story Mode, DynamicZoom, Timelapse, SpinShot, etc on this new model as well.
