DJI even put out an official statement – DJI Mini SE is a specialized product tailored for entry-level drone pilots in markets where consumer drone use is emerging. It uses the internal components of the Mavic Mini in the shell of the Mini 2, which generates slightly higher wind resistance but provides much of the performance of the original Mavic Mini at a very attractive price – Source dpreview.

Since DJI Mini SE internally is the same as the original First Gen Mini, you get all the same features of that drone, but in a better body. It has a 12MP sensor with up to 2.7K @ 30fps recording and offers up to 30mins of flight time. Since this also comes under 250g, you won’t need a license to fly this in many countries.
