Asus has announced ROG Strix Scar 17 G733 2022 US Models powered by 12th Gen Intel processors. There are currently 4 different models listed online – G733ZS-DS94, G733ZW-0002, G733ZM-0001, and G733ZX-LL060X. Currently, there are no official launch prices listed for these models. The top-end model, Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 (2022) G733ZX Series comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR6 memory. Strix Scar 17 (2022) G733ZS is powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU with 8GB memory.
ROG Strix Scar 17 G733ZW and G733ZM are the cheaper models and are powered by 8GB RTX 3070 Ti and 6GB RTX 3060 GPU respectively.
All current models listed are powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H Processor. This has 14 cores, of which 6 are P-cores ( Performance cores ) and 8 are E-cores. This CPU has a base frequency of 2.5Ghz and can go up to 5.0Ghz in the turbo boost mode.
All models ship with the new Windows 11 Operating system and are powered by a 4-cell 90Whr battery. Asus ship these models with a 280W AC Adapter with RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 models while the RTX 3060 uses a 240W AC Adapter.
Based on the specs available online, these will support the latest WiFi standard WiFi 6E. There are a total of 4 USB ports available including a Thunderbolt 4 port.
These new 2022 models will be available to purchase from Amazon US, B&H Photo, Newegg, etc in the coming months. Currently, it’s not listed anywhere in stock.
