Microsoft has officially launched next-gen Surface Laptops in the US. The Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop Studio are the new 2021 models powered by 11th Gen Intel processors. Amazon US has now listed this model online but is not yet available to pre-order. The price for the Surface Laptop Studio in the US starts at $1,599.99.
The high-end Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio model is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11370H quad-core processor and comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU with 4GB GDDR6 GPU memory. You can also buy a less expensive model powered by Core i5-11300H quad-core processor. Core i5 Surface Studio laptop uses integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics instead of dedicated Nvidia GPU.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio features a 14.4 inch PixelSense Flow Display with a pixel resolution of 2400 x 1600 (201 PPI). It supports up to 120hz refresh rate and has a 3:2 aspect ratio screen. This is a touchscreen display with Surface Pen stylus support as well.
You can buy this with 16GB or 32GB LPDDR4x RAM memory. In the storage department, you can opt for 256 GB, 512 GB, 1TB or 2TB SSD drives depending on your needs. Microsoft has powered the Surface Studio with a 58Whr battery. You get 2 x USB 4.0 with Thunderbolt 4 ports to connect accessories and has a 3.5mm headphone jack to connect your headphones.
Since we all use Zoom Meetings and Microsoft Teams Meetings often, Microsoft has equipped these new models with a 1080p resolution front-facing camera with Dual far-field Studio Mics to get good quality video and audio calls.
