Aleinware has launched M15 Ryzen Edition R5 Gaming Laptops in the US online at a starting price of $1,299.99. These 2021 models are powered by AMD 5000 Series processors and uses RTX 30 Series GPUs for graphics. Dell has listed a few different models in this series online. Check out their launch prices and specs below. Many of these models will be avaialble to pre-order online from Amazon US in the coming weeks.
The cheapest Alienware M15 Ryzen Edition R5 model ( $1,299.99 ) is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H octa-core processor. For graphics, this model uses NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 4GB GDDR6 GPU. It comes with 8GB of ram and has 256GB SSD storage. The display on this model is a 15.6 inch Full HD screen with a refresh rate of 165hz and a response time of 3ms supported.
$1,599.99 priced model is powered by the same chipset but has a more powerful RTX 3060 6GB graphics. It comes with 16GB of ram ( 8GBx2 ) and has 256GB SSD storage. The display is the same as the above model.
$1,899.99 priced model is powered by Ryzen 7 5800H and 8GB RTX 3070 GPU. It features a Full HD 165hz display like the above-listed models. It comes with 16GB of ram and has 512GB SSD storage.
$2,179.99 priced Alienware M15 Ryzen Edition R5 is powered by the top-end AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX octa-core processor and has 8GB RTX 3070 GPU. It comes with 16GB of ram and has 1TB SSD storage. The display on this model is a 15.6-inch QHD screen ( 2560 x 1440 ) with a 240hz refresh rate and 2ms response time supported.
$2,379.99 model is currently the most expensive model listed on Dell US website. It features a 15.6 inch QHD screen with 360hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. You get more ram as well on this model -32GB. Rest of the specs remain the same as the above model.
Can we expect an Alienware M15 Ryzen Edition R5 model with RTX 3080?
As of this writing, Dell doesn’t have any plans to do that. You will have to buy an Intel-based laptop like Alienware x15 or Alienware x17 to get the RTX 3080.
